One of the policemen lost his service weapon during today’s riots in Thessaloniki while a large march was underway to mark the one-year anniversary of the tragedy in Tempi

The incident on Monastiriou Street, outside the OSE, was noticed by a citizen who alerted the authorities, resulting in an immediate alarm and forces arriving at the scene to recover the weapon.

Four arrests by police for the riots in Thessaloniki

Meanwhile, police made four arrests for the incidents that took place at noon in Thessaloniki.

Those arrested were transferred to the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki where their involvement in the riots is being investigated.
