A suspected gunman was killed by officers after wounding three people and shooting at police at Florida State University’s campus in Tallahassee. The incident happened early on Thursday at the university’s Stozier Library.
Two people wounded by the gunman were takent to Tallahassee Memorial with one person in a critical condition.
Gunshots were heard on the second floor of the library. Within minutes, people from the first floor ran upstairs telling students to hide.
Police used the intercom to warn students that there was a gunman in the lobby. The alert urged people to take shelter in a nearby building and stay away from doors and windows. No details about what sparked the warning was given.
