Tourism: Meteora, Kalambaka and Preveza fascinate the Serbs

The regions have potential for the development of thematic forms of tourism

Journalists and influencers who took part in the press trip organised by the Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT) in Serbia have conveyed their best impressions of the magical landscape of Meteora, Kalambaka and Preveza, as well as the unique experiences of thematic tourism in Greece.

From May 22 to 26, 2024, the Foreign Service of the Serbian National Tourist Office, in cooperation with the Municipalities of Preveza and Kalambaka, organized a press trip to the region of Preveza and Meteora.

The trip was attended by representatives of the largest news agencies (Euronews), Radio Television Serbia (RTS), other major media in the country (BLIC, Telegraf, Hello Magazine), as well as some of the most important influencers of the neighbouring country.

In addition to visiting the main natural and cultural resources of the destinations (e.g. Ancient Nikopolis, St. Charalambos Church, St. Charalambos Church, St. They had the opportunity to enjoy special thematic experiences (cruise in the Amvrakikos Gulf, tasting of local ouzo in a distillery, wine tasting under the auspices of Meteora, tasting of local dishes).

The trip attracted the interest of the journalists, who were fascinated by the hospitality of the locals, but also by the potential of each destination for the development of thematic forms of tourism.

They gathered the necessary information and audiovisual material in order to record their impressions of their experiences.
