A significant recovery in the demand for holidays in Greece is observed by TUI Travel, and according to what it stated, our country offset limited demand for other locations in Europe, holding the overall drop in sales.
Company Chief Executive Peter Long stated on Tuesday that TUI sees a “huge upsurge” in demand for holidays in Greece.
Particularly popular are the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands and Turkey, he added.
The number of TUI customers who bought basic summer offer packages was down by 2% compared to last year, with France and Nordic countries being the most negatively affected, according to the company.
This fall, however, was offset by the increase in the average price of packages sold.
