Two bomb threats on planes heading for Atlanta’s airport (the busiest airport in the world) mobilized armed forces, anti-terrorism and bomb-disposal units in the USA.

The threats came from “valid sources”, according to US officials. Fighter jets scrambled to escort the two airplanes to the airport. Said airplanes were immediately evacuated upon touching down.

The flights in question were a Delta Airlines flight from Portland, Oregon, and a Southwest Airlines flight from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

According to the associated Press, the aforementioned units are looking into the bomb threats and examining every inch of the plane to give the all-clear.
