Two more Omicron variant cases confirmed in Greece

Two suspicious Covid cases under investigation by Greek authorities have been confirmed as being the Omicron variant.

According to information from protothema.gr, the two patients that are in Athens and arrived in the country from South Africa before the ban came into force, were finally confirmed to be infected with the Omicron variant.

As protothema.gr wrote on Saturday, the cases had mild symptoms and therefore underwent a diagnostic test. The two new incidents are not related to the 40-year-old man in Crete who is the “patient 0” of Omicron in Greece.
