USA: Dog found 3,770 km from her home

Mishka disappeared in California nine months ago and was miraculously found in Michigan

A dog who disappeared in California nine months ago has been miraculously found in Michigan, more than 3,770 miles away from her home to the delight of the people who have her, it was announced yesterday, Thursday.

Mishka, a terrier breed dog, had disappeared in July without a trace from her home in San Diego, near the Mexican border.

She was found a few days ago in Harper Woods in suburban Detroit, on the Canadian border, after crossing the U.S. diagonally, traveling nearly 4,000 kilometers.

A local animal shelter was able to identify her thanks to the electronic chip she was carrying and contacted the people who have her, who immediately went to pick her up.

“This is a story that Hollywood would dream of making into a movie,” the animal shelter said on Facebook, where it has posted photos of the unexpected reunion.

At the moment it is not ascertained how Mishka managed to travel all this distance.
