The debate on the draft law on the third package of 48 prior actions that the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government has agreed to with Greece’s lenders (EC, ECB, IMF, ESM) has begun in Greek Parliament.
The Parliamentary plenum is discussing protection for primary mortgaged homes from foreclosures as well as other burning issues, such as a new wine tax. SYRIZA and ANEL deputies have expressed their concern over the new special tax on wine.
The voting of the law will take place according to fast-track procedures with voting to be completed on Thursday night.
