French President Francois Hollande will meet shortly with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on the second day of his visit to Greece.
The meeting takes place just a few hours after Mr. Hollande had expressed his support for the Greek debt issue.
After the meeting the two leaders are expected to hold a joint press conference and at 12 o’clock Mr. Hollande will address Greek Parliament.
The French President and the Greek Prime Minister are expected to sign a declaration of Greek-French cooperation in key areas such as:
– Providing expertise to Greece in public administration, taxation and reforms
– Strengthening of bilateral foreign trade
– Investment cooperation in areas such as new technologies, digital economy, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, etc.
– Cooperation in the field of education and culture
A special reference should be made to the refugee issue, in the framework of a common policy that European Union shapes.
