The Airline Meals site offers a huge photo archive of inflight meals, documented since 2001, to show the history of flight food. Already there are 35,000 images from 700 airlines from around the world as well as reviews. A sneak sample of some dishes:
From Spain to United Kingdom, Economy Class, BA
On BA flights of this length to Gatwick or Heathrow you would normally only get a wrap or sandwich so to receive this bento box of chicken pasta salad, bread and butter, lemon cake and mint chocolate was a nice change.
From Germany to Qatar, Economy Class, Qatar Airlines
Tasty
From Turkey to Switzerland, Economy Class, Edelweiss Air
Wow, outstanding service and catering on Edelweiss! Bear in mind, this is the year 2015 and high quality food still is being served in economy class, you just have to know where to go 🙂 Flavour was quite nice overall, the rice was too sweet though, for my taste anyway.
United Kingdom to Turkey, Economy Class, BA
The meal served was atrocious, was a Cheese Omelette with Chestnut Mushroom sauce and slow cooked Tomatoes it was packed full of garlic and was disgusting. The Yogurt, Croissant, was fine Slice of Bread was on the dry side but once buttered and smeared with Jam it was passable. Orange juice was fine as always.
