White House security officers are scrambling to investigate two suspicious vehicles following a small explosion at a nearby food vendor. A security sweep is currently taking place.

Photos from Will Sweet show heavy smoke from the food locations in the 400 block of 15th street. The fire was extinguished but there were no injuries.

At the time of the incident on Saturday morning the press was at the White House’s South Lawn for the departure of President Barack Obama and his family to Selma, Alabama.

The White House is currently locked down.
