Eight shia men were executed and hung upside down at Kirkuk in Iraq by ISIS militants. Photos and footage of the horrific crime spread over the internet. The man posing next to the bodies is Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Iraqi. The reason for the crime is that some of the men were wearing uniforms, causing the militants to assume they were soldiers.

The action is interpreted by some as being an act of revenge against Kurdish fighters.
