William and Kate will stay at the Norfolk cottage for Easter and will not be with the rest of the royal family

The ‘getaway’ was made with their children just hours after Kate announced she was suffering from cancer

The royal couple left London by helicopter, hours after Kate Middleton announced via video that she has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.

Royal heir William and his wife left the British capital for their country house in Norfolk, Bild, Daily Express and Le Point magazine commented.

They will spend the Easter holidays there with their three children.

The princely family left Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Castle for Anmer Hall in Norfolk, their country home, the French magazine comments.

Since last Saturday, comments the British newspaper Daily Express, the family has been there, as presumably have Kate Middleton’s parents who stand like a rock beside their daughter who is battling cancer.

The whole family is expected to spend the Catholic Easter holiday at the Sandringham Estate, as they will not be attending this year’s Mass at St George’s Chapel, according to foreign reports.

King Charles and his wife Camilla as well as other members of the royal family will be present at St George’s Chapel.

William, Kate and their three children chose to celebrate the Easter holiday in a closed circle due to the health condition of the Princess of Wales.

Kate Middleton continues to recover and is undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

Apart from relaxation, she wants quality time with her loved ones, as reported by French magazine Le Point.

In Norfolk, she will be able to enjoy walks on the beach with the family dogs, relaxing outdoors and enjoying the sea breeze while clearing her mind of the health problem that is plaguing her.

The 18th century Anmer Hall house where she will spend her Easter holiday is located on the Sandringham Estate, and is estimated to be worth £1.5 million.

It is noted that it was the primary residence of William, Kate, Prince George and Princess Charlotte from 2015 to 2017 but is now their second home.

The couple moved their family to London after the birth of Prince Louis.

They currently live at Windsor Castle, however, things are now changing due to the serious health condition of the Princess of Wales.
