According to a new poll conducted by the firm Marc for the private Alpha TV station, SYRIZA continues to enjoy a “honeymoon” with the electorate.
Nevertheless, a strong majority of respondents said they want Greece to remain in the euro, but at the same time called on the government not to back off in negotiations.
Specifically, 65.2% of respondents agreed with the statement that the new government brought “hope for something better”, while 22% favored the statement “that the worst is still to come”.
In terms of voters’ preferences, SYRIZA climbed to 45.4%, New Democracy dropped to 18.4%, KKE was at 4.8%, ANEL at 4.7%, Golden Dawn at 4.7% and Potami at 4.6%.
A figure of 79.9% of respondents said they felt satisfied from policy statements.
In relation to Greek FinMin Yanis Varoufakis, a whopping 85% of respondents had a positive view of him, and just 15.1% negative.
Of respondents, 61.3% were favorable to new DM Panos Kammenos, a surprise from numerous past opinion polls.
Furthermore, 55.7% of respondents believe that banckraptcy is out of the question.
