Angela Merkel on Greek elections

The powerful German Chancellor stated that this is not the Euro’s fateful week

German Chancellor Angela Merkel underlined that Greece has always achieved the goals set by the fiscal programs. She also stated that all efforts were focused on Greece remaining in the eurozone.

She was also of the belief that Greeks will vote responsibly, but reiterated that the motto “cooperation before reforms” is still in effect.

She stated that this is not the euro’s “fateful week”, directly referring to the ECB’s decision to buy bonds and Greek elections, clarifying, however, that the Euro crisis has not yet fully been quelled.
