Athens and Rhodes affordable destinations, online ranking shows

Copenhagen the most expensive place

According to a ranking by online travel platform ‘Hoppa’, Athens and Rhodes were listed as affordable destinations for travellers in Europe for the 2016 summer season. The table includes the 48 most expensive choices for holidaymakers in Europe, with Athens coming in at 25th spot (161 British Pounds) and Rhodes even less expensive with an average cost of 120.6 Pounds in 40th place. The rankings are calculated based on the average costs of hotel accommodation, a bottle of wine, a beer can, movie tickets, cab costs etc. Copenhagen was the most expensive of all destinations with an average price of 302.9 pounds, while the least expensive was in Bulgaria with 30 pounds.
