Last night’s clashes… in photos and videos
Violence broke out at 6 p.m. on Thursday when a group of 1,000 anti-state protestors gathered in central Athens. The so-called activists gathered towards a rally where thousands of miners were demonstrating in favor of the Skouries mining investment that is their livelihood.
The police responded to the clashes with the use of chemicals, whereas a chase began all the way to Propylaia.
The episodes ended shortly after 11 p.m.
