ATHEX index up by 2%

Tuesday sessions closes at 654 points

The ATHEX general index closed at 654 points in its Tuesday session, recording a 2.08% rise, while the FTSE25 closed at 180 points, a 1.12% increase. The PPC (Public Power Corporation) stock will be withdrawn from the list of traded companies without it being replaced by any other equity. The stocks of PPC, Attica bank and Greek Petroleum will be listed in the MSCI mid-cap index. Despite the Greek government’s ‘red lines’ with its creditors, European officials believe a compromise will finally be reached between the two sides leading to the release of an installment to the Greek government.
