The collision happened as the plane was coming into land at El Fasher airport in Sudan. The Boeing 737, belonging to Sudanese private company Tarco Air, had just flown in from the Sundanese capital of Khartoum when the incident took place.
However, the crew were able to safely land the aircraft and no one from the 108 passengers on board was injured. El Fasher airport is considered one of the major airports in Sudan and it is the largest airport in Darfur.
