CNBC: Greek elections are the next big obstacle for international markets

John De Clue, head of investments of U.S. Bank Wealth Management

John De Clue, head of investments in the U.S. Bank Wealth Management stated that if SYRIZA is elected as the government, all bets are open. He reiterated that he does not think that Greece could exit the EU, unless it wanted to commit “suicide”.

De Clue added that there is a huge possibility that SYRIZA is victorious, and if it starts removing the country from austerity measures, other EU members will turn around and say that there will be no more lending. No more breath of life. He clarified that if Greece no longer used the Euro, there would be a complete bank run.
