The bourgeoisie is united in the aim for a strong coalition government, with the greatest possible political life, in order to implement measures that serve the recovery of capitalist profitability and competitiveness of the capital, general secretary of the Greek Communist Party (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas said to Action 24 TV channel.

He stressed that there is an objective basis for the parties that voted the memoranda to form a government or a wide coalition.

Mr. Koutsoumbas said that the third memorandum signed by SYRIZA is not due to incompetence or bad deal, but to its policy, adding that SYRIZA’s strategy was undoubtedly leading to that.

Asked about KKE’s refusal to cooperate with Popular Unity party, General Secretary said the main issue is that Popular Unity’s proposals are the already known proposals within a capitalist framework and within EU which lead to a deadlock.

Finally, Mr. Koutsoumbas called on Greeks not to get trapped to the dilemma of old or new political system.
