Unemployment rates in Cyprus dropped by 9.4% annually, according to the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

Specifically, the unemployed were reduced by 4,096, out of which 1,224 were in construction, 834 in financial and insurance institutions, 756 in manufacturing, 722 in trade, 326 in the public sector, 308 in education, and 537 in the newly employed.

At the same time, there was a rise in unemployment in bed and board providers (404) and transportation (253).
