Actor Dave Morissey visited the Greek island of Mytilene for two days this week to see the rescue efforts of hundreds of migrants arriving on the island. He praised the locals and tourists who are helping the situation in a country that has been struck by economic recession.

The UN Refugee Agency estimates that 1,000 people arrive in Greece every day and he urged the rest of Europe to “open its eyes” to problems.
