Discussion on Holocaust, Memory at Athens Concert Hall (Live streaming)

The panel will examine the phenomenon of the Holocaust in Europe and Greece, its genesis in anti-Semitism and the current situation

The Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), in collaboration with the Jewish Museum of Greece, on Tuesday will host a discussion on Holocaust and Memory, which will also be transmitted live via the Diavlos site.

Speakers include Annette Wieviorka, a historian and Emeritus Research Director at CNRS (IRICE, Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Mark Weitzman, the chairman of the Committee on Holocaust Denial and Anti-Semitism, (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance -IHRA) and Odette Varon-Vassar, a historian and professor at the Hellenic Open University.

The panel will examine the phenomenon of the Holocaust in Europe, and especially in Greece, its genesis in anti-Semitism and the current situation. There will also be a discussion of the issue of the maturing of memory, and the policies of commemoration in the past and present.
