EU Commission: Greece and institutions reach an agreement on second set of prior actions

EU Commission spokeswoman said that the implementation of the second set of prior actions will unlock the 1 billion euro sub-tranche

European Commission spokeswoman Mina Andreeva  confirmed on Friday that Greece and the institutions have reached agreement on the reforms included in the second set of prior actions.

She added that the implementation of the second set of prior actions, which is expected by mid-December based on the decision taken by Eurogroup in November 23, will unlock the 1 billion euro sub-tranche.

Mrs. Andreeva  said that when the details are ironed out “this of course would unlock the disbursement of the final one billion euros still available.”

Asked on the social security reforms, she said that the implementation of pension reforms “is a key part of the first review.”
