Farmers continue blocking the main roads

They will meet today to decide on their next move

Greek farmers are still blocking major roads throughout the country, while today they are expected to decide on their next move.

According to information, they probably escalate their protest and continue blocking the roads, while at the same time they will prepare their arguments and proposals for the social security system and tax system.

Sources said yesterday that members of the farmers’ federation do not rule out a debate with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, but the majority of the farmers do not agree, unless the government withdraws the reform.

Today representatives of 35 blockades throughout Greece will attend a meeting at Tempi at noon, while the members of farmers’ federation will meet at Thessaloniki in the afternoon to decide on their actions.

Meanwhile, police of Regional Prefecture of Thessaly announced that the road at Tempi will be closed today from 4 pm until 9 pm.
