Greek farmers concluded their meeting at Tempi where representatives of 35 blockades took part and announced that they are ready to protest against government’s measures by demonstrating in Athens.
As they said after their meeting, they ask for the forming of an interparty committee in the parliament, which will examine their requests demanding also their presence at the committee’s meetings.
The farmers also decided to escalate their protest actions with closing Patras-Athens-Thessaloniki-Evzones highways for more hours per day. On Monday they will decide on the points and the duration of the blockades.
Moreover, Greek farmers ask all MPs and opposition parties to “take a stand on their just demands” while, they said that they will announce their arguments and requests to the government in the next few days.
