Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias told reporters that his brief meeting with UN special envoy Matthew Nimetz on the FYROM name dispute was held in a very positive climate and a “creative and productive meeting”. He added, however, that there was no strict time-frame for reaching a solution.
Mr. Kotzias reiterated that the Greek side will table a draft agreement to the neighboring country on the name issue and told reporters: “I think we can, with good faith, be led in a positive direction, and I leave the rest to those who want to just make criticism”. As he told reporters, “we talked about what we can adopt and where we have reservations about his proposals and I suggested there are alternatives”.
