Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs tables War Loan

Kotzias : We have a voice to be heard and rights to fight for – Steinmayer insists Greece sticks to initial commitments

During joint statements with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmayer in Berlin, the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias, called for cooperation with Greece’s partners in order to “give hope to the Greek people” and also raised the issue of war loan.

“There is no Europe without Greece. Our country may be poor, but is an equal State Member. We have a voice to be heard and rights to fight for”, argued Mr. Kotzias.

Furthermore, he also called for “an understanding” on the Greek debt issue, since according to Mr. Kotzias “growth is the only way forward”.

From his side, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs sent his own message to Greece, which was no other than “Greece must honor its commitments”.
