Greek National basketball team easily beats FYROM (85-65) in opening Eurobasket 2015 match

Fiba Europe foul with use of ‘MKD’ acronym

The Greek national baseball team, as expected did the job and comfortably disposed of the lowly rated FYROM team in its opening Group C match of the 2015 Eurobasket competition 85-65, in Zagreb Croatia. The Greek ‘big’ men dominated in the paint, as Bourousis and Printezis shared over 30 points between them, while the Greeks also had 23 assists. The FYROM players tried to stay in touch with their opponents by shooting outside the 6.75 3-point arch in the first half, but ran out of steam and solutions off the bench and finally yielded to their superior opponents. The next match will see the top clash of the group between Greece and Croatia on Sunday. On a side note Fiba Europe defied international rules by using the acronym ‘MKD’ for the small Balkan nation, instead of the internationally recognised FYROM.
