Greek state lost 2,000 refugees/migrants in one night (Pics of official lists for March 7, 8)

Registering structures under pressure

The level of non-coordination in the Greek authorities on the issue of registering refugees and illegal economic migrants in the country is sometimes funny, if it weren’t tragic! According to a body set up by the Greek government to keep track of the number of refugees in Greece nearly 2,000 have gone missing in one single night! The records show that on March 7 there were 36,419, while the next day, March 8 there are 34,183! These 2,000 people disappeared overnight without any of them exiting the country, since the borders to the north are sealed on the FYROM side and no major relocation plan has been implemented, at least to our knowledge in 24 hours! Since there has been no official briefing on the discrepancy, it is apparent that no government body knows where these 2,226 refugees/illegal migrants have gone to. A government source says this varying numbers occur due the fact that the counting process takes place when not all refugees/migrants are present!
