Hungary cuts illegal immigration by 99% after building a wall

Open border activists, such as George Soros & fellow globalist officials inside the EU & UN, have become angry at Hungary’s good results

Illegal immigration into Hungary has been cut by over 99% after the country built a series of border fences in response to the European migrant crisis.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Chief Security Advisor, György Bakondi has announced that the border fences have cut the number of illegal immigrants entering the country from 391,000 in 2015, to 1,184 in 2017.

“The system of technical barriers is the key to the success of border security, and without it, it would be impossible to stop the mass arrival of immigrants,” Bakondi explained. “People who attack the fence are taking a stand in favor of allowing large numbers of people to enter the country without any form of control.”

Due to the influx of illegal immigrants entering Europe after Angela Merkel claimed there was “no limit” on the number of asylum seekers Germany would accept, Hungary had to react quickly.

Hungary’s reaction to the migrant crisis involved building watchtowers on its borders in addition to twin fences and patrols of newly recruited border guards.

Even though the country has not built a solid wall, illegal migration has collapsed to a point that open border activists, such as George Soros and fellow globalist officials inside the European Union and United Nations, have become angry at Hungary’s results.

“When I was standing at the border fence today, I felt the entire system is designed to keep people, many of whom are fleeing war and persecution, out of the country,” UN Refugee Agency chief Filippo Grandi said after his visit to Hungary’s border.

Grandi has also called for Hungary to scrap its policy of detaining asylum seekers while their claims are validated in transit zones along the border.

Dr Zoltán Kovács, the Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Relations, explains, “There is continuous migration pressure on our borders.”

“The measures introduced in the interests of protecting the border continue to be necessary; it is thanks to these that the number of migrants entering Hungary illegally and in an uncontrolled manner has fallen drastically,” Kovács added.
