More than 30 Iranian university students were punished with 99 lashes each for attending a party where there were females, in the city of Qazvin, northeast of capital Teheran! The young men were arrested after heighbours near the party notified police.

The men were questioned by police and sentenced to 99 lashes, in accordance to the strict Islamic sharia law imposed in the country. According to the region’s prosecutor, the women were dressed indecently, meaning they might have not been wearing their hijabs or parts of their hair or skin were exposed. A local told Iranian news agency ‘Mizan’ that their arrest would teach them a lesson in order not to violate Islamic law.
