Italian FinMin says Greek deal is an important first step

Speaking in Bologna

“The agreement with Greece is an important first step”, stated Italian FinMin Pier Carlo Padoan during his speech in an American university in Bologna.

According to the Italian minister, “The Greek situation is characterized by difficulties since fiscal sources are running out. There were signs of market stress which were smoothed over by Friday’s deal, and this is a good thing. It is important that this chance is taken advantage of, since the trust problem has been serious. Mutual trust between all involved countries must be supported”.
