President of the European Council Donald Tusk said he fears the end of western civilisation could be upon us if Britain decides to leave the European Union! In an interview to German newspaper ‘Bild’, Tusk said: ‘As a historian, I fear that a Brexit could be the beginning of the end for the not only the EU, but of the entire western civilisation’. Tusk adopted a dramatic tone to convey the gravity of the prospect of the UK leaving the European Union, pointing out a ‘Brexit’ would boost extreme, anti-European forces, the consequences of which could be unpredictable. ‘Why is it so dangerours? Because no-one can predict what the long term impact will be’, he said.
