Leader of Greece’s major opposition party New Democracy (ND), Kyriakos Mitsotakis accused PM Alexis Tsipras and his administration of incompetence, political dishonesty and flippancy after the latter announced his intentions to set up a special parliamentary inquiry into the scandals in the public health sector in a speech in the plenum of the Greek parliament, Friday. In his statement Mr. Mitsotakis said insecurity had covered the country on all levels. “The country is in limbo and is on it way to becoming a pariah”, Mr. Mitsotakis underlined in his statement. He went to accuse the Tsipras government of generating insecurity and uncertainty domestically. “The review is not closing. The people’s trust is vanishing. Recession has returned. Investments are nowhere to be seen”, the leader of ND underscored in his statement. Mr. Mitsotakis concluded by calling for the only possible solution which was national elections as soon as possible.
