Bouboulina’s Museum on Spetses, Greece, will be open every day during the peak summer months due to high visitation, according to the museum’s management.
A visit to Bouboulina’s Museum shows the fascinating story of the heroine of the 1821 Greek War of Independence, who until recently had the honor of being the only female Admiral in world Naval history.
Independent visitors and larger groups of up to 100 are welcomed to Bouboulina’s Museum every day from the beginning of March to the end of October.
During the peak summer months, visitors explore the museum until 8:30 pm. The museum even accepts visitors off season with prior confirmation.
Bouboulina’s Museum is housed in the home of Bouboulina and the tour begins in the garden area. Foreign nationalities have the opportunity to learn about Bouboulina’s life by reading a brief history available in 21 languages (Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish Flemish, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Greek).
The tour inside the museum itself is conducted in English or Greek.
