PM Tsipras pleads for Hollande’s support

Greek side celebrates the fact that Hollande agrees with Athens that program review should be concluded until next week, but it’s not clear how French president could help on that

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met with President of France Francois Hollande in Paris on Wednesday and that could have been an interesting meeting if there had not been endless and  similar “political negotiations” between prime minister and European leaders with the known memorandum result of last July. And any leaks from prime minister’s office on French President’s positive stance towards Greek requests would have mattered, if it was clear how Greece’s requests could be met and troika could be put aside or even better ignored at negotiation process. But, it looks like that it is absolutely impossible to have any other agreement without negotiations with Greece and institutions having reached first to a conclusion.

Although, the Greek side celebrates the fact that Hollande agrees with Athens on the obvious, that program review should be concluded until next week, there is nothing else that could confirm that the “political deal” could lead to any other agreement or how French president could help to the conclusion of the program review.
