Pregnant woman stabbed in ambush

The woman and her embryo are safe at Alexandras hospital

A pregnant woman was transported to Alexandras hospital after being stabbed by unknown assailants at the central Athens neighborhood of Patisia. Hospital officials say that the woman and the embryo are not in danger.

The incident occured after two women were ambushed at 48 Folegandrou Street by two assailants carrying knives who took the women’s money and jewelry. When one of the women reacted, one of the two assailants stabbed one of the two women three times.

The woman was robbed of 160 euros and a chain around her neck.
