The Kremlin released an official statement confirming Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Greece on May 27 and 28. According to the statement, the agenda of talks will include bilateral trade and economic cooperation, investments and the economy. Putin is scheduled to meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic , Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Greek PM Alexis Tsipras on Friday, before leaving for his trip to the Orthodox monastic community on Mount Athos, in Chalkidiki, Macedonia. According to sources, both Pavlopoulos and Tsipras will accompany Putin on his visit to Mount Athos. The Greek government has invested a lot on the Russian President’s stop-over in Athens hoping to present a multi-faceted foreign policy approach.
