According to sources, there is nearly a 4,000 to 5,000 Euro gap between the proposal tabled by Greece’s Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and Greece creditors, otherwise known as the ‘Quartet’ are pressing on the matter of where the tax free threshold should stand. Tsakalotos suggested it should be at 9,500 compared to the Quartet who are pressing for am number between 5,000 to 5,500 Euros a year. The two sides, who met Thursday to explore tax related issues, agreed to meet again on Saturday. Greece’s lenders put forward their proposal that see a drastic reduction in the income tax free threshold.
