RAI: 80 of the Norman Atlantic survivors were not on the passenger list!

Neither the Italian coordinators of the company, nor the Greek side agree on the number of missing and rescued – Varvitsiotis: “My anxiety is to identify the people, I have great doubt if we have all the names”

The Odyssey of the survivors may be coming to an end, however the agony for many of the families of passengers or crew members who have not been able to contact their own people culminates.

Confusion prevails as neither the Italian coordinators of the company, nor the Greek side agrees on the number of missing and rescued.

According to the Italian national TV RAI, 80 of the Norman Atlantic survivors were not on the passenger list.

The Minister of Marine stated that: “”My anxiety is to identify the people, I have great doubt if we have all the names” and added that “We face enormous difficulties in communicating with the Italians”.
