Refugee boy in life threatening condition after fire breaks out at Oreokastro hotspot

Father and sister also suffer urns

Three refugees have been injured after a fire broke out at the Oreokastro refugee centre in Thessaloniki. A 42-year-old man and his two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, were transferred to the local hospitals after their tent caught fire at 4.40am. The young boy has suffered serious burns and has been put on a life supporting system. The 35-year-old mother also suffered minor burns. The blaze was put out by refugees at the hotspot, while an investigation i under way to determine the causes of the fire.
