The Greek PM, Alexis Tsipras, stormed into power on Jan. 25 carrying the characteristics of modern and Europeanized’Che Guevara’, a radical leftist politician bent on “rocking the boat” of a more political ‘orthodox’ Europe.
In Turkey, it seems his popularity has been elevated to a new level, as a Turkish company bought the commercial rights for Tsipras’ name as a brand. Will we see his face on T-shirts soon, like his childhood idol? Who knows? Capitalism makes for strange bedfellows.
