Two bombs explode outside large Egyptian hotel housing election judges

The election judges were monitoring the second stage of Egyptian parliamentary elections at an area where violence is escalating

Two bombs exploded outside a large hotel in Egypt where election judges were staying at the city of al-Arish on Tuesday, killing at least one person, reports  Al Arabiya. A car bomb exploded near the hotel of Al-Arish, the capital of the North Sinai governorate and one of the largest cities in the Sinai peninsula.

The blasts in the city of al-Arish came a day after the second round of a parliamentary election closed. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

Voting for the parliamentary elections to elect members of the 596-seat Parliament has taken place amid increased violence and terrorism. The blast took place just after the second stage of the parliamentary elections.
