Two Greek C-130 aircraft participate in the search of missing EgyptAir plane

The search operation is being conducted about 130 nautical miles southeast of the Greek island of Karpathos

Two Greek C-130 aircraft have joined the search operation for the EgyptAir plane which disappeared from radar over the Mediterranean Sea on Thursday.

As officials at the Hellenic National Defense General Staff stated the search and rescue operation is being conducted about 130 nautical miles southeast of the Greek island of Karpathos.

One frigate is also heading to the area, while helicopters are on standby on Karpathos for potential rescue or recovery operations.
