Two new polls show ND leading over SYRIZA

85% of the respondents said that the country moves towards the wrong direction

A new poll conducted by Metron Analysis shows that the majority of Greeks believe that Greece is moving towards the wrong direction.

85% of the respondents said that the country moves towards the wrong direction, 63% believe that Greece is in worse position than a year ago, 78.3% assess negatively the work of the government and 70.8% assess negatively the way prime minister acts. The economic confidence indicator is at minus 76%, while 88.4% of the respondents assess negatively the economy and 72.6% believes that the future will be worse.

Main opposition party New Democracy leads the way with 23.7%, while SYRIZA received 19.4%.

Regarding the other parties, Golden Dawn comes third with 5.1% and Communist Party of Greece (KKE) fourth with 4.7% followed by Democratic Coalition 4.2%, Union of Centrists 3.7%, ANEL 2.3%, Potami 2.2%, Popular Unity 2.1%, ANTARSYA 1.4%, Other 1.2%, Blank/Invalid/None 22.5%, Undecided 7.5%

Citizens clearly indicate that the country is moving to the wrong direction with 64.7% of the respondents asking for a coalition government in order to keep Greece in Eurozone.

Another poll conducted by the University of Macedonia for SKAI TV channel shows that New Democracy leads by 24% over SYRIZA that received 17.5%. Golden Dawn comes third with 6% followed by KKE 5.5%, Democratic coalition 4.5%, Union of Centrists 4.5%, ANEL 2.5%, Potami 2,0% , Popular Unity 2.0%, Don’t know/Don’t answer 24%.

Meanwhile, a survey published on Efymerida ton Syntakton shows that the majority of respondents (78%) do not want early elections, but they want a national unity government (51%).
