The man at the helm of Portugal’s rise to the top of the Euro2016 is a familiar face to the Greek fans. Coach Fernando Santos was on the bench of the Greek national team for 4 years from 2010 till 2014 and lead the side to one World Cup finals and a Euro finals. After the victorious match of his team against France in the Euro2016 final he was interviewed by Greek state broadcaster ERT and did not forget to express his love of the Greek people by thanking them in Greek.
