The bond between team-mates in sports becomes very strong, often leading to friendships that last for a lifetime. But what happens when a partner of one of the two tests their friendship? This is a list of dishonest athletes who slept with their team-mates’ wives of girlfriends.

3. English football captain John Terry was caught cheating on his wife with his teammate Wayne Bridge’s girlfriend, a gorgeous underwear model whose name is Vanessa Perroncel. He was angrily booed off his own playing field for this.

4. Prince Fielder from the Detroit Tigers filed for divorce from his wife. The rumor was that it was because of an ongoing affair that Avisail Garcia was having with his wife.

5. While playing for the St. Louis Blues, the young hockey star came across the wife of one of his teammates, Craig Janney. Shanahan began to have an affair with Janney’s wife which led to the divorce of the Janneys.

6. John Harkes, team captain of the USA 98 World Cup Team, was kicked off the team weeks before the tournament by coach Steve Sampson. He states that his reasons were because of leadership issues and then confirmed that it was because Harkes was sleeping with teammate Eric Wynalda’s wife.

7. Demarco Murray was having a great season with the Dallas Cowboys, while also destroying a teammate’s marriage. He was sleeping with his teammate Brennan Clay’s wife of 4 months and Clay tweeted about the affair. He was later arrested for assaulting his ex.

8. A very French affair involving Saint Etienne team-mates and French captain Michel Platini. The ménage á trois involved the wife of the Gallic number 10 Platini ensuring the build up to Spain 1982 was thrown into chaos as Jean Francois Larios was drop kicked out of the squad and into the international wilderness.
