Europe did not leave the Greeks to their fate, according to the European Commissioner for Justice Viviane Reding who expressed her satisfaction with the gradual recovery of the Greek economy and its exit to markets.
In an interview with ANA-MPA, Mrs. Reding stated that the latest financial news show that there is hope that things are going better.
“I also thing that the Greeks understand that Europe has not left them to their fate”, she said, adding, however, that there were many who at a given moment, had stated that Greece should leave the Euro and Europe as a whole.
“But as we said, it is a member of the European family and they will have to remain so. We will do all we can to help them”, she underlined.
However, the Commissioner stated that she recognizes that there are many people suffering in Greece, but noted that “everything is going better, and the future of the Greeks will be a future where the state works, where children will not have to start paying off debts from birth, inherited by their ancestors, where businesses thanks to acumen and ingenuity will regain their vitality”.
